Director Ramge is pleased to announce the approval of two new domestic companies to the State of Nebraska and welcomes the companies to Nebraska.

American Interstate Insurance Company and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Silver Oak Casualty, Inc., were Louisiana domiciled property and casualty insurers which have redomesticated to Nebraska. They are both subsidiaries of the ultimate parent company, Amerisafe, Inc.

The Nebraska Department of Insurance will host an educational session in Lincoln with regard to the Affordable Care Act. The Department will give an introductory presentation on Health Insurance Exchanges and the role of the state in a federallyfacilitated marketplace (Exchange). There will be a question and answer session after the presentation.
