The Director of the Department of Insurance has scheduled a public hearing as required by Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 84-901 through 84-909 for the proposed amendments of Title 210, Nebraska Administrative Code, Chapter 24 – Holding Companies.
The Nebraska Department of Insurance will continue hosting a series of educational sessions across the state with regard to the Affordable Care Act. The Department will be giving an introductory presentation on Health Insurance Exchanges and the role of the state in a federally-facilitated marketplace (Exchange). There will be a question and answer session after the presentation.

The Nebraska Department of Insurance has joined an international supervisory cooperation and information exchange agreement with the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS). Nebraska becomes the 3rd U.S. state and the 36th jurisdiction to be admitted as a signatory to the IAIS Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MMoU), representing more than 52% of worldwide premium volume.
