All active producers’ appointments will be automatically renewed May 1, 2009, unless canceled by the insurance company prior to April 15, 2009. Therefore, if you plan to terminate a producer’s appointment, be sure to mail the cancellation form or terminate the appointment through the Producer Database in time to reach the Department before the deadline date.

The Director of the Department of Insurance has scheduled a public hearing as required by Neb. Rev. Stat. §84-901 to §84-909 for the proposed adoption of Title 210, Nebraska Administrative Code, Chapter 85 -- HEALTH, DENTAL, ACCIDENT, AND LIFE INSURANCE UNDER THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL RISK MANAGEMENT ACT. The proposed rule implements the provisions of Neb. Rev. Stat. §§44-4308 and 44-4314 granting the Director of Insurance rulemaking authority to adopt and promulgate rules and regulations.
