This site allows you to use tools and resources to help understand the different types of insurance, claims processes, and practical tips to help support you throughout the different stages of your life. Life Insurance Policy Locator
The NAIC provides a Life Insurance Policy Locator tool. If you have a deceased family member who has an unclaimed policy or you believe they had one, this tool will help you search. This free tool is accessible by:
- Logging in and agreeing to the process
- Enter your name and address
- Submit a search request by entering the deceased's information from the death certificate:
- Social Security Number
- Legal first name
- Legal last name
- Date of birth
- Date of death
