Chapter 84 of the Insurance Department Rules and Regulations was filed with the Secretary of State for adoption on July 6, 2009, with an implementation date of July 11, 2009.

The Nebraska Department of Insurance and the Special Deputy Receiver (SDR) for Lincoln Memorial Life Insurance Company, Memorial Service Life Insurance Company, and National Prearranged Services, Inc. (NPS) recently became aware of an unauthorized e-mail message seeking personal banking information to facilitate claims processing. The unauthorized e-mail is not from, nor authorized by, the SDR as the SDR’s office does not request or accept personal banking information via e-mail or telephone.
