NOTICE OF HEARING - Nebraska Comprehensive Health Insurance Pool Premium Rates

The Director of the State of Nebraska Department of Insurance has scheduled a public hearing as required by Neb. Rev. Stat. §44-4227 on a proposed rate adjustment of the Nebraska Comprehensive Health Insurance Pool premium rates. The purpose of this hearing is to provide an opportunity for public comment on the proposed rate adjustment.

STAT. §§ 84-901 through 84-909 for the proposed amendment of Title 210, Nebraska Administrative Code, Chapter 55 – Rule to Define Standards and Director’s Authority for Companies Deemed to be in Hazardous Financial Condition.

NOTICE - Summary Order to Cease and Desist against American Trade Association, Smart Data Solutions LLC, Serve America Assurance, et al

On May 3, 2010, the Nebraska Department of Insurance filed a Summary Order to Cease and Desist against American Trade Association, Smart Data Solutions LLC, Serve America Assurance, and numerous other entities and individuals requiring them to immediately CEASE AND DESIST from issuing, making, providing, selling or offering, either directly or indirectly, insurance benefits in the State of Nebraska which are not insured by an insurer licensed to transact insurance in the state.

NOTICE - Travel Line of Authority Changes Effective July 1, 2010

Our records indicate that you currently hold a Producer – Trip Insurance license in the state of Nebraska.

A recent review of our producer licensing lines of authority has resulted in us changing the license type, Producer – Trip Insurance, to a line of authority listed under a producer license. Currently, a producer authorized to sell, solicit, or negotiate travel insurance is issued a Producer – Trip Insurance license which is inconsistent with the issuance of producer license types and lines of authority.

NOTICE - Online Renewals for Non-Resident Insurance Producer Licenses

Effective February 1, 2010, the online renewal period for Nebraska non-resident insurance producer licenses, through the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) at www.nipr.com, will be extended to 90 days prior to the license expiration date. This replaces the previous 60-day period. All non-resident insurance producers may now renew their licenses online up to 90 days prior to the expiration date.

NOTICE OF ADOPTION - Chapter 86, Regulation to Implement the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for Purposes of Continuation of Coverage for Small Group Insurance

Chapter 86 of the Insurance Department Rules has now been filed with the Secretary of State for adoption of an amendment which eliminated Section 9 of the regulation.
