Medicare plans can change annually, potentially affecting how you access your prescriptions and/or health benefits and potentially affecting how much you pay for these items and/or services.
Medicare's Annual Open Enrollment begins October 15 and ends Decmeber 7. During this time it's your opportunity to compare your current Medicare Part D, Prescription Drug Plan, or your Part C, Medicare Advantage Plan, to your other plan options for 2025. Because this task can sometimes be difficult, Volunteers Assisting Seniors (VAS), the designated Nebraska SHIP & SMP office in Omaha, is available to help. VAS provides free, confidential, and unbiased Medicare help for Nebraskans with Medicare.
