Choosing a Quality Nursing Home - Grand Island

Learn from Nebraska’s SHIP program how to search for a quality nursing home on the Medicare website. You’ll learn how Medicare covers short-term nursing home stays following hospitalization, but doesn’t cover long-term care or stays in a nursing home. Medicare may cover home- and community-based long-term care in limited situations. This class also will provide information about the Medicare program and what a person should consider in choosing a nursing home or other long-term services.
